Every Kind of Cable Your Building Will Ever Need

Structured cabling — Cat6 and Cat6A.

The backbone of everything: workstations, WiFi access points, cameras, phones, printers. We run it clean, label both ends, dress the racks so the next person can actually work in them, and test every drop. Cat6 covers most offices today; Cat6A is the smart buy when you’re powering modern access points and cameras, or you just want the building current a decade from now. We’ll tell you which — and we’ll tell you if the cheaper one is fine.

Fiber optic installation.

Backbone runs between floors and buildings, long distances copper can’t handle, and bandwidth-heavy operations. We terminate, test, and certify — fiber done wrong is invisible until it isn’t.

High-rise and riser work.

Vertical runs through Manhattan’s tallest buildings, with proper fire-stopping, riser management, and code compliance. This is the work that separates cabling companies from “guys with cable.”

Data centers and server rooms.

Precision environments where cable management is uptime. Ladder rack, clean patching, airflow-conscious layouts, and documentation that matches reality.

Cable cleanup and remediation.

Inherited a rat’s nest? We untangle, trace, label, re-terminate what’s salvageable, pull out what’s dead, and hand you a closet you can show people without apologizing.

Testing and certification.

Every run we touch gets tested with Fluke Networks equipment — a $650-per-run value, included on our installs — and you get the results in writing.

Why New York Buildings Are Our Specialty

Cable is cable — until you’re pulling it through a 1920s landmark, up forty floors of riser, or across an occupied trading floor that cannot go dark. That’s where jobs go sideways, and where we’ve spent three decades not going sideways.

High-rises and vertical runs.

Proper cable management, fire-stopping, and riser work — done to code, documented to the drop.

Landmark and prewar buildings.

We’ve learned what preservation boards want to see, usually the hard way, so you don’t have to.

Codes, the DOB, and building management.

We speak the language, handle the coordination, and keep you out of the middle.

Occupied offices.

Most of our work happens around a business that’s open. We stage it, work the off-hours, and leave the place cleaner than we found it.

From Trading Floors to Taco Shops

Financial services.

Low-latency runs, redundant pathways, and installs that satisfy the compliance people. We’ve cabled operations where a dropped packet costs real money.

Healthcare and medical offices.

Clean installs around patient care, HIPAA-conscious network separation, and coordination that respects that you can’t just shut down an exam wing.

Media and creative.

High-bandwidth backbone for video work, studio spaces where cable dressing is half aesthetic, and layouts flexible enough to survive the next reconfiguration.

Offices of every size.

From a six-person suite to a full floor buildout — same standard, same testing, same documentation.

Retail, restaurants, and hospitality.

POS lines, guest WiFi backbone, cameras, music, kitchen printers — the whole nervous system, run so it survives a renovation.

Warehouses and industrial.

Long runs, high mounts, environments that eat delicate work for breakfast. We spec for the conditions, not the catalog photo.

Professional Network Cabling

Straight Answers on Timeline and Cost

How fast?

A typical crew day is 20–30 finished drops. A 25-drop office is usually a one-to-two-day install, not a two-week disruption. High-rise risers and buildings with strict access windows take longer — we’ll tell you exactly how much longer at the assessment, not after you’ve signed.

How much?

We bill for the actual work — no padded per-drop menu pricing, no mystery line items. After the free site assessment you get a firm, written scope, and the number we quote is the number you pay. On buildouts of 10 or more drops, every 10th drop is free and certification testing is on us.

Why certification matters:

Every run gets tested and certified with Fluke Networks equipment — a $650-per-run value, included — and you get the results. It’s the difference between “trust me, it works” and proof in writing. When you sell the building, renew the lease, or hire the next IT company, that binder is worth real money.

How a Cabling Project Actually Goes

The assessment.

Free. We walk the space, count the real drop locations (usually different from the floor plan), check the pathways, ceilings, and riser access, and flag anything that’ll bite later. You get a firm written scope.

The schedule.

Built around your building’s rules and your business hours. Occupied office? We stage it. After-hours only? That’s fine, we’re awake anyway.

The install.

Runs pulled, terminated, labeled at both ends, racks dressed, faceplates straight. Our crews do this every day, 20–30 drops at a time, and it shows.

The test.

Every drop, Fluke-certified. Anything marginal gets re-terminated on the spot, not annotated and forgotten.

The handoff.

Test results, labeled documentation, and 30 days of post-install support. If we cabled it and something’s weird, we come back.

Cabling Questions, Answered

Our crews complete 20–30 drops per day. Most offices are done in one to three days once materials are on site. Your building’s access rules are the usual variable — we build the schedule around them and around your business hours.

That’s most of our jobs. We stage the work, use after-hours windows where it makes sense, and your team stays online throughout.

Cat6 covers most offices today. Cat6A is the smart buy if you’re adding modern access points, cameras, or want the building current a decade from now. Fiber is for backbone runs and serious bandwidth. We’ll recommend the cheapest option that won’t need redoing — in writing.

Yes, and you’ll be glad it’s us and not you. Codes, super coordination, union protocols — handled.

We quote from a free site assessment — a firm written scope, no surprises mid-job. Book it and you’ll have a real number within days. (And on 10+ drop jobs: 10th drop free, Fluke certification included.)

Every drop, Fluke-tested, results delivered to you. Plus 30 days of post-install support on every project.

One of our favorite jobs, honestly. We trace, label, re-terminate what’s good, remove what’s dead, and turn the closet of shame into documentation you can hand an auditor.

That’s the other half of the business. Cabling plus a UniFi network from one crew means nothing gets lost between “the cable guys” and “the network guys” — because they’re the same guys. Start here for the full picture.
