Q: Why not just buy the hardware outright?
A: Great question! If you have the capital and want to own the equipment, a traditional install makes sense. But with UNaaS, you get three things you don't with a purchase:

1. Zero upfront hardware cost (preserve $30k-$50k in cash flow)
2. 24/7 support and management included (no ad-hoc fees or service contracts)
3. Hardware refresh every 48 months (no obsolescence or replacement costs)

If you buy outright, you're looking at $30k-$50k upfront, plus support contracts, plus replacement costs in 4-5 years. With UNaaS, it's a predictable monthly fee that covers everything—including future upgrades.
Q: What if I want to cancel mid-contract?
A: UNaaS is a service contract (like SaaS), not a lease. We invest significant capital upfront to deploy your network, so the contract term is binding. Think of it like a software subscription—you commit to the term in exchange for the service.

At contract end, you can renew with refreshed hardware or exit. But mid-contract termination isn't available because we've already deployed the equipment specifically for your site.
Q: Can I buy the equipment at the end of the contract?
A: No, the hardware always remains ours. That's what allows us to offer zero upfront cost and include hardware refresh at no additional charge.

At contract end, you have two options:
1. Renew with brand-new, current-generation equipment
2. Exit and we'll remove all equipment within 30 days

If ownership is important to you, a traditional purchase might be a better fit—and we offer that too!
Q: What if hardware fails?
A: We replace it at no cost (as long as the failure wasn't caused by client damage or tampering). We handle all RMAs with Ubiquiti and ship replacement hardware immediately—typically same-day or next-day.

With Premium 24/7 support, we're on-site within 2-4 hours to swap failed hardware and get you back online.
Q: What if we outgrow the network or need to expand?
A: No problem! We can expand your network mid-contract. Additional hardware (APs, switches, etc.) is added to your monthly fee on a pro-rated basis for the remaining contract term.

Example: If you're 18 months into a 36-month contract and add 5 APs, we'll calculate the cost for those 5 APs over the remaining 18 months and adjust your monthly fee accordingly.

Q: Do you support non-UniFi equipment?
A: UNaaS is UniFi-only. However, we can integrate with existing non-UniFi infrastructure where feasible (e.g., connecting UniFi to your existing firewall or core switches).

If you need a mixed-vendor environment, we can discuss a traditional install or hybrid approach.
Q: What happens if we move offices?
A: If you relocate during your contract term, we can handle it one of two ways:

Option 1: Equipment Relocation
We'll remove the equipment from your old location and reinstall it at your new space. You'll pay for:
- Removal labor at old site
- New infrastructure at new site (cabling, mounting, etc.)
- Reinstallation labor

Your monthly UNaaS fee remains the same, and your contract term continues uninterrupted.

Option 2: New Deployment
If your new space requires significantly different equipment (more/fewer APs, different layout), we can treat it as a new deployment. We'll work with you to either:
- Terminate the existing contract and start fresh, or
- Run two separate contracts (old equipment donated/recycled, new equipment deployed)

We'll find the most cost-effective solution for your situation.
Q: What if our internet goes down?
A: Internet service is provided by your ISP, not us. If your internet goes down, that's an ISP issue—we can't fix their service.

However, we can help diagnose whether the issue is your ISP or your network. Our monitoring will alert us immediately if your network loses internet connectivity, and we'll work with you to determine the root cause.

If you need a backup internet connection (failover), we can configure that as part of your UNaaS deployment.
Q: Can we manage the network ourselves?
A: No. Part of what makes UNaaS work is that we maintain complete control over the equipment. This ensures:
- Consistent configuration and performance
- No client-caused issues that we then have to troubleshoot
- Warranty and support remain valid

If you need hands-on access to manage your own network, a traditional purchase is the better option.
Q: What if we damage the equipment?
A: Accidental damage happens. If equipment is damaged due to client actions (water damage, physical impact, unauthorized modifications, etc.), you're responsible for the replacement cost.

We'll provide a quote for replacement, and once paid, we'll install the new equipment immediately. Your monthly UNaaS fee remains unchanged.
Q: Do you offer month-to-month contracts?
A: No. UNaaS requires a minimum 24-month commitment because we're investing significant capital upfront to deploy your network.

If you need a shorter-term solution, we can discuss:
- Traditional purchase (you own the equipment)
- Equipment rental (different pricing model)
- Managed services on your existing equipment

Q: What happens at the end of the contract?
A: You have two options:

Option 1: Renew
Sign a new contract (24/36/60 months) and we'll refresh your hardware with current-generation equipment. Your monthly fee may adjust based on new hardware costs and market rates.

Option 2: Exit
We'll schedule a time to remove all equipment from your site (within 30 days). You'll need to have alternative networking in place before we remove our equipment.

There's no penalty for exiting—you've fulfilled your contract term.

Q: Can we pause service temporarily?
A: No. Your monthly fee covers our ongoing costs (monitoring, support staff, hardware depreciation). Even if you're not actively using the network, we're still providing the service.

If you need to temporarily shut down operations (e.g., office renovation), we can discuss options, but your monthly fee continues during the contract term.
Q: What contract terms do you offer?
A: We offer three contract lengths:

- 24 months: Higher monthly rate, shorter commitment
- 36 months: Recommended—balanced pricing and commitment
- 60 months: Lower monthly rate, mid-term hardware refresh (at 48 months)

Longer contracts give you better monthly pricing because we can amortize hardware costs over more months.
Q: Is there a setup fee?
A: No separate setup fee. You pay for infrastructure (cabling, installation) as a one-time cost, then your monthly UNaaS fee begins once the network is deployed.

Infrastructure costs are separate from UNaaS and are billed according to our standard installation terms (50% deposit, 50% on completion).
